A race is a competition of speed. Typically You are competing against live rivals to reach a destination before any of them (often with them given a huge headstart or other handicap), or just to reach a destination quickly. If there are no rivals to compete against, it's considered a time trial in which the goal is simply to go fast.~
A typical race allows any ride or means of traversal to reach the destination that doesn't use near-instant teleportation, such as portals. Often a slut-kart will be Your fastest type of ride, but a slutboard can sometimes be more useful, and parkour(ing across our faces) offers great versatility even if it is less consistent.
