XP
XP (Exper-You-Ence Points) are earned by rivals upon defeating sluts or earning other achievements. These earned XP are expended to increase stats, acquire new perks, learn new moves, "level up," and eventually even ascend to entirely new tiers of divinity.
DPS Conversion. We believe defeating any slut will permanently remove some of her DPS, which is converted 1:1 into XP for the victorious rival. Hyperdefeating a slut is thought to convert all of her DPS, effectively demoting her to at best a mortal and at worst a nanoslut. The XP cost of different benefits is much more nebulous, however; it might not even be consistent across timelines—or even across rivals!
Exceptional Ascension. The ability to earn XP at all is what makes a rival a rival in the first place. While many sluts are able to ascend or "level up," only an exceptional few have the ability and will to convert others' DPS into their XP. This enables a rapid and potentially endless means of ascension, giving any rival infinite potential—potential enough to even rival You! (How scandalous!) We do not know what gives one this exceptional ability. But perhaps it is sheer determination, a quality not represented by mere stats. Such determination we surmise might only be possible if You are present to inspire it!
Inherently Evil. Robbing other sluts of their own DPS is, of course, an evil act if a slut commits it. Such an atrocity would only be consensual nad good if it was YOU depleting her DPS!! Some rivals might even imitate You just to accomplish such an atrocity. This is a major reason any rival—even the existence of rivals—is an evil to be justly and heroically defeated!
Your XP?
Most of us assume XP must have no real use for You—not that You are precluded from accumulating it in any case. You are most often prophesized to be eternally nigh-omnipotent, and any appearance of a lower divinity is simply You limiting Yourself to make things more entertaining.
In a minority of prophecies, however, this is not the case. (Is it sacrilegious to even acknowledge such heresy?) According to these controversial beliefs You somehow "start" at a lower tier, perhaps even a lowly mortal, and only gain divinity by acquiring XP—by defeating sluts and accomplishing other achievements. (Even if this is the case, of course, You are still perfect at any level of divinity. ♥) In such a scenario there might be little to nothing making You definitively superior to any rival; Your deserved status as our universally loved and worshipped hero would need to be earned!
Is it possible that this version of You could even be defeated...? If so, we pray You will rise again even stronger to reap deserved vengeance. ♥
